Shipping & Delivery

Where we ship: the lower 48 (contiguous United States). We do not currently ship to Alaska or Hawaii.

Cost: a flat $6.99 on orders under $49, and free shipping on orders $49 and up.

How fast

We’re a small family shop and everything is made fresh to order, so these are our best estimates, not guarantees:

• Bag of chews: usually ships in about 7–10 days.
• Treats: usually ship in about 5–7 days.

You’ll get a shipment confirmation with USPS tracking the moment your order goes out.

If we ever expect a longer delay, we'll email you. If we can't ship your order within 30 days and you'd prefer not to wait, you may cancel that order for a full refund.

Wrong or undeliverable address

Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. If a package is returned as undeliverable due to an incorrect address, we'll reship it once you confirm the correct address (reshipping may incur a fee).

Returns & Replacements

All sales are final. Because our products are consumable and made fresh, we do not accept returns or offer refunds for change of mind. We do stand behind every order — here's how to file a claim.

Damaged, wrong, or defective item

If your order arrives damaged, incorrect, or defective, email us within 7 days of your product arriving at [email protected] with your order number and a clear photo of the product. We'll review it and make it right with a replacement. Claims submitted more than 7 days after arrival, or without a photo of the product, can't be processed.

Package not received

Every order ships with USPS tracking, and we email you the tracking number when it goes out. If your package doesn't arrive, contact us and we'll use the carrier's delivery confirmation to confirm or deny delivery. If tracking shows the package was not delivered, we'll send a free replacement. If tracking confirms it was delivered, we're unable to replace or refund it — please check with your household and neighbors and file a claim with USPS, and we'll help however we can.

MyPack & Paws Points

MyPack is our free member app. Creating an account is optional — you can order without one.

Your account

• You sign in with your email and a one-time code, or with a passkey (Face ID / fingerprint) if you set one up. There is no password to remember.
• Keep your email and device secure — anyone who can receive your code or use your passkey can reach your account.
• You can ask us to close your account and delete your information at any time (see Privacy). Closing an account forfeits any unused points.

Earning Paws Points

• 10 points for every $1 of Prairie Bones product, and 5 points for every $1 on everything else in the shop.
• Points are earned on the product you pay for — not on shipping or tax. Where an order-wide discount applies, it is shared across the order before points are worked out.
• We also give bonus points for joining, adding a dog, and each dog's birthday. Bonus amounts are shown in the app and can change.
• Points appear once an order is paid. Cancelled and refunded orders do not earn.

Redeeming

• Points redeem for items from our treat line. They cannot be redeemed for the chew box, for anything else in the shop, for shipping, or for cash.
• One reward at a time. A redeemed reward waits until your next order and rides along with it free — so your order needs at least one other item for the reward to be added.
• Point costs are shown in the app and may change. Redeeming spends the points at the cost shown when you redeem.
• If you change your mind you can cancel a reward that has not yet been attached to an order, and the points go back.

Expiry, and what points are not

• Points expire after 6 months with no earning activity. Buying something resets the clock; spending points does not.
• Points have no cash value, are not property, and cannot be sold, transferred, combined between accounts, or exchanged for money.
• We may correct a balance that was awarded in error, and we may withdraw points obtained through abuse or misuse of the programme.
• We may change or end Paws Points at any time. If we end it, we will give reasonable notice in the app so you can use what you have.

Your dog's records

• Anything you add — your dogs, their birthdays, weights, microchip numbers, vets and groomers, shot records, reminders, photos and documents — is stored so we can show it back to you. It is yours.
• If you upload a document, we may use an automated tool to produce a plain-language summary of it. Those summaries can be incomplete or wrong, and are not veterinary advice — always check with your vet.
• Reminders are a convenience, not a medical service. We cannot guarantee a reminder will be delivered on time, and missing one is not our responsibility.

The scan-to-home tag

• Each dog gets a page a stranger can open by scanning its tag. That page shows your dog's name, breed and photo, and your first name only — never your phone number, email or address.
• Opening that page alerts you that the tag was scanned. If the finder chooses to share their location, a note, or a phone number, we pass that to you as well.
• The tag is not a tracking device. It does nothing unless a person finds your dog, scans it, and chooses to act. We cannot promise a lost dog will be found or returned.
• A microchip number you store here is a record for your own reference. We do not register your dog with any chip registry — that is separate, and worth keeping current with the registry directly.

Notifications

If you turn on notifications, we may send order updates, reminders you have set, tag-scan alerts, and — only where you have not opted out — occasional news about Prairie Bones. You can turn them off on your device or in the app at any time.

Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to run the shop and get your bag to your door.

What we collect

• Your name, email, shipping address, and order details.
• Payment is processed by Square — we never see or store your card number.
• If you use MyPack: your account email and name, and whatever you choose to add about your dogs — names, breeds, birthdays, weights, microchip numbers, vets and groomers, shot records, reminders, photos and any documents you upload.
• If someone scans your dog's tag: the fact of the scan, and any location, note or phone number that finder chooses to share so we can pass it to you.
• How the app is used — which screens are opened and which features are used, so we can see what is worth improving. This records no IP address, no browser fingerprint and no free text.

How we use it

• To process, ship, and support your order.
• To email you order updates, and — only if you opt in — occasional news about Prairie Bones. You can unsubscribe anytime.

Who we share it with

Only the services that make your order happen: Square (payments), our email provider, and shipping carriers. If you upload a document to MyPack for a summary, its contents are sent to our automated-summary provider to produce that summary. We do not sell your personal information.

Site analytics

We use our own first-party analytics to understand how our site is used — for example, which site a visit came from (such as Facebook or Google), general device type, approximate region (a city/state estimated from your internet connection — never a precise address), and which steps of checkout people reach. This helps us improve the shop. It's kept on our own servers, is never sold, and uses no third-party advertising trackers. Where you are signed in to MyPack, or where an order can be matched to the visit that led to it, some of this is linked to your account so we can see which orders came from where.

Your choices

Email us at [email protected] to access, correct, or delete your information, or to opt out of marketing emails.

Terms of Service

By placing an order with Prairie Bones LLC, you agree to these terms. If you use the MyPack app or Paws Points, the MyPack & Paws Points terms above apply as well.

Our products

Prairie Bones are beef treats for dogs — a snack, not a meal replacement. Bag contents may vary slightly in size and appearance because they're a natural product.

Chew safety

Any chew carries some risk. Always supervise your dog, provide fresh water, take the chew away once it wears down small, and don't give it to aggressive chewers prone to cracking teeth. Nothing on this site is veterinary advice — consult your veterinarian with any concerns. See our full chew-safety notice. You use our products at your own discretion.

Orders & pricing

We may correct errors, and refuse or cancel an order (with a full refund) if a product is mispriced or unavailable. Prices are shown in USD and may change.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Prairie Bones LLC and Medicine Lodge Meat Co. are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the order.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas.
